You’ll be greeted by decorations, lights, and colors that fill every corner of the city, along with the famous Trento Christmas Market, where you can discover the authentic flavors of tradition and the enchanting creations of local artisans. Throughout the Christmas season, a rich program of cultural events will enliven the historic center with open-air concerts, shows, and activities promoted by local volunteer groups.

The Christmas Market in Trento

The Christmas Market in Trento is the place where dreams come true, where the scent of wood and mountains mixes with the taste of sweets and the warmth of mulled wine. Where time stands still and allows children and adults to experience the joy of Christmas. The Trento Christmas Market with its characteristic little houses is located in the heart of the city, in Piazza Fiera and Piazza Mostra.

Opening hours

Every day during the period indicated, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.;
on Fridays and Saturdays, only the food court is open, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Special opening hours:
December 7 and January 5: the food court from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.;
the artisans/merchants area from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
December 24 and 31 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Christmas Day from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Attention!
Please note that on January 6, 2026, the Market will close at 6 p.m.

The Angels of Christmas

Starting on Friday, 5 December, and continuing every weekend in December
(5-6-7-8 / 13-14 / 19-20-21 / 26-27-28), from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.,
the streets of the city centre will be brought to life by the Angels of Christmas: four characters
played by professional actors, ready to offer a warm welcome and accompany tourists
and visitors on a journey of discovery of Christmas places and atmospheres.
