A Christmas full of emotions

Sunday 14 December at the Chapel of Palazzo Salvadori in the historic centre of Trento and Saturday 27 December at Sala San Benedetto in the Church of Sant’Apollinare in Piedicastello.

Below is the program:

Sunday, December 14, 2025 at 6:00 pm at the Chapel of Palazzo Salvadori, in via G. Manci, 69 in Trento.

The Christmas of emotions is aimed at children – but will also be appreciated by those who have grown up – and includes the reading of nursery rhymes, stories and poems by authors such as Bruno Tognolini, Chiara Carminati, Sonia Maria Luce Possentini, Roberto Piumini, Alda Merini, Gianni Rodari and Roal Dahl and the combination of musical pieces for two clarinets, specially selected or improvised by the performers, Beatrix Graf and Marco Milelli.

The reading of the texts is entrusted to the voice of Carlo Corsini, a professional reader and actor, specialised in bringing children closer to the world of words and poetry.

The show will be a journey to discover emotions (from curiosity to anger, from joy to melancholy, etc.), emotions seen through the amazement and candor of children, during the Christmas period, a time that most lends itself to storytelling, suggestion and emotion.

“They stopped the heavens”

Maria Letizia Grosselli, soprano

Roberto Caberlotto and Gilberto Meneghin, accordion

Saturday 27 December at 6.30 pm at the Sala San Benedetto of the Canonica di Sant’Apollinare in Piedicastello, Trento.

The program offers a musical journey that combines the timeless elegance of Baroque sacred music with the melancholy and romance of the author’s song and the most exquisitely Christmas themes.

The first part is a hymn to the spirituality and compositional mastery of Johann Sebastian Bach, Antonio Vivaldi and W.A. Mozart.

The second part takes us into a lighter and more sentimental atmosphere: it begins with a tribute to music

contemporary with the songs by G. Meneghin and R. Caberlotto, and then dive into the golden age of Italian song: “Ma l ‘amore no” and “Parlami d ‘amore Mariù”, songs that have marked the history of costume, cinema and popular music.

The concert ends with a tribute to Christmas time, with the medley “They stopped the skies” by F. Conti, a composer from Trentino: it will be an immersion in the exquisitely Christmas atmosphere and will seal this eclectic and enjoyable encounter between different styles and eras.
